The focus of my research is Image Segmentation. I am currently working on active contour models (snakes).

  • In particular i am customiszing active contour models to find the double edges in lumbar vertebrae images (courtesy : NLM). For this purpose i am using the directional gradient vector flow snakes and with an additional pressure force to guide the open contours.

  • I am also involved in a project with ITC(International textile center). This Project Involves detection of stain in fabric images. For this i am using statistically pressurized snakes with prior shrinkage information.

  • Apart from this i am also doing a project for  NLM. In this i am analyzing the effect of segmentation of cervical vertebrae (using Generalized Hough Transform) by modelling the C2 vertebrae.
